As the sun hits the horizon, shades of yellow, orange, and pink wash the sky in beautiful bands. They cool into muted violet as the last remaining rays of light shimmer across the sky,” says jewelry designer, Carolyn Pollack. Southwest elegance mixes fine gemstone jewelry with fun, unique designs. This spirited collection highlights rainbow pastels including rose quartz, yellow citrine, green peridot, blue turquoise, and purple amethyst nestled in a soft cloud of white freshwater pearls.

Intricate beadwork and faceted gemstones bring to life the stunning colors of Southwestern sunsets. Sunset Inspirations jewelry also features channel inlay, a process by which genuine gemstones are cut into precise sizes and shapes, in order to fit together in a silver setting like a perfect puzzle. The result is a vibrant geometric pattern of color. Silver is incorporated into the collection’s design, separating and distinguishing the individual gemstones.

Several of the rings, earrings, and pendants showcase a pave' (pronounced pa-vay) texture. Derived from the word, "pavement", pave' is a process where tiny, pin-size holes are swiftly jack hammered onto a piece of tarnish-resistant sterling silver. Striking the silver gives the piece a luminescent look that resembles sparkling diamonds.

Care Instructions - Like all fine jewelry, Carolyn Pollack CP Signature™ jewelry should be handled carefully. Store jewelry in a plastic bag, dry and wrapped in tissue paper, when not being worn or displayed. Clean sterling silver with a silver polishing cloth when necessary, but never subject to chlorine, silver dips, chemical solutions, or ultrasonic cleaners, as these substances can cause the gemstones to discolor. Never wear jewelry in a swimming pool.
